Annual budget outlay of Odisha pegged at Rs 1.06 Lakh cr

Bhubaneswar: As compared to its annual budget of Rs 94,000 crore in 2016-17 fiscal, the annual budget of Odisha in 2017-18 fiscal is pegged at Rs 1.06 crore.

The draft annual budget proposal of the Odisha government for the financial year 2017-18 was approved by the Council of Ministers in a meeting here this evening which was presided over by chief minister Naveen Patnaik.

The budget allocations have been made on the basis of the schemes and programmes instead of the department wise allocations, official sources said, adding that budget has been prepared in line with the Central budget by combining plan and non-plan expenditure.
