Jeypore: In yet another show of strength, some Andhra Pradesh officials  on Monday visited bordering Kotia village under Pottangi block in Koraput and click photos of villagers to prepare Aadhaar cards.

Earlier, on January 9, some officials from the neighbouring State accompanied by Vijayanagaram Collector had reached Kotia and nearby places to distribute blanket and solar lights. Following the incident, the Koraput district officials were in a tizzy and had undertaken a spot visit to assess the situation.

Besides, residents of two more villages of Koraput and Gajapati districts were lured by the Andhra Pradesh government with basic facilities.

Taking advantage of the Odisha government’s indifference to issues of residents of Raipada village of Koraput and Khudi Gudi village of Gajapati, the Andhra government is running a parallel administration by providing electricity and drinking water facilities. Besides, Anganwadi workers of Andhra have been giving services in the two villages. Moreover, elderly persons of the village have been getting old age pension from the neighbouring State.
