Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of noted opera script writer Ananta Ojha arrived at Bhubaneswar airport from Bengaluru today. The body will be taken to his ancestral village in Pattamundai of Kendrapara for the last rites that will be conducted today.

Ojha who was actively involved in opera industry for three decades, died on Sunday at a private hospital in Bengaluru after a prolonged battle with cancer. However, the hospital authorities had detained the body due to some pending bills.

Later, the body was handed over to his family after Odisha government intervened and cleared the pending bills and made necessary arrangements in this regard.

Ojha was suffering from mouth cancer and was under treatment for last three months. He has scripted over 200 jatras and also directed most of them.
