Born and brought up in Cuttack, Riyana had her aim clearly etched since quite early in life. Today, she has not only completed three movies in Bollywood but signed a couple of Bengali flicks.

"Before the fresh offer, I had completed an Odia movie directed by Sanjay Nayak in the lead role", says the 23-year-old Economics graduate from Ravenshaw university in Cuttack. Though she did not get much success from two of her Bollywood movies - 'Mr MBA' and 'Luckhnowi Ishq', Riyana is upbeat about her upcoming movie ‘Life Ki Aisi Ki Taisi (Hindi), a satirical comedy in which she plays the protagonist. Her next movie 'Tu Achu Ta Mun Achi' (Odia) is also ready for release in April end or first week of May.

Riyana is a product of Roshan Taneja School of Acting in Mumbai.

Asked about the Bengali films she has signed, says Riyana, “the title of the Bengali film has not yet been finalised. But my part in the cinema has been confirmed. It will take around 20 to 30 days to hit the floor."

However, the actor is a little concerned about both her movies in Hindi not doing as good as expected. “But I am sure my upcoming Odia flick 'Tu Achu Ta Mun Achi' would definitely enthral audience. It’s a film based completely on a murder mystery. It has also a Bollywood touch with mesmerising songs. I am also quite optimistic about 'Life Ki Aisi Ki Taisi," she says chirpily.
