New Delhi: BJP president Amit Shah is scheduled to begin a 15-day ‘Vistaar Yatra’ (party expansion tour) covering five states including Odisha, Telangana, Gujarat and Lakshadweep from today from Naxalbari in West Bengal.

Informing newsmen about Shah’s plans at the saffron party headquarters in New Delhi, Union Minister Smriti Irani said 3.68 lakh BJP workers across the country had volunteered to take part in the "Deen Dayal Vistaar Yojana" for the 15 days.

Irani added, "To pave the way for future, the BJP president is connecting with party workers at booth level to expand the party's base."

She further stated Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the focus areas for the party's expansion.
