Bhubaneswar: Mounting attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the charges brought against saffron party chief Amit Shah’s son Jay Amit Shah; Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) today said that even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogan is 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', in practice it is ‘Amit ke Saath, son Jay ka Vikas.”

Though PM Modi claims of being a leader of the poor and the downtrodden, he does not mean ‘Vikas’ (development) of all, but for Jay Shah only, alleged OPCC president Prasad Harichandan.

Similarly, BJD vice-president Damodar Rout took a swipe at BJP saying, “Narendra Modi is the prime minister of the country, while Amit Shah is the party president. So it’s obvious that the company will have such an unprecedented increase in revenues, just like a gambling business.”

Rout further alleged that the money made by the company actually belongs to the BJP president and not his son Jay.

Answering to media whether a probe into the allegations would be demanded, the senior BJD leader counter-questioned saying, “Modi is Amit Shah’s partner, what sort of investigation he will do?”

However, the State BJP rebuffed the allegations claiming those as false and derogatory.

“A civil and criminal defamation case claiming damages of Rs 100 crore has already been filed against the author and the publisher of the article titled “The Golden Touch of Jay Amit Shah” which made such allegations and remarks creating confusion in the minds of people,” said BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma.

A news article published recently had raised questions over the legitimacy of Amit Shah’s son Jay’s business that made profits of over 16,000 times in a span of one year.
