Bhubaneswar: While factions within BJD continue to press charges of neglect against party MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda, party workers of various blocks of Kendrapara parliamentary constituency region continue to come out in support of the parliamentarian.

BJD workers from Aul, Garadpur, Derabish and Rajkanika blocks of Kendrapara district today met the party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with complaints against the MP.

As per reports, the party members have accused Panda of ignoring party workers and unfair distribution of MPLAD funds.

"We met the party president today and submitted our complaints against Panda," said BJD's Garadpur block president, Sailendra Kumar Mohanty.

On the other hand, the party workers from Patkura and also Aul blocks today came out in support of Panda and  raised slogans to show solidarity.

"The MP regularly visits his constituency and listens to the woes of the people but it is not liked by some party workers," former Sarpanch of Bagalpur, Prajesh Ranjan Nayak said.

Similarly, a BJD member from Aul, Nirakar Sahoo, said “In politics whosoever does good work is always targeted. As Panda is working for the people, some have hatched a conspiracy to belittle his image.”

Earlier today, BJD's Cuttack district observer Usha Devi who was appointed by Naveen to probe allegations against Jay Panda submitted her report.
