Balasore: Preparations at the AIIMS ground here have reached final stage ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city on Thursday.

According to sources, Modi will land at the AIIMS ground by a special Indian Air Force helicopter at around 10.50 am and will address what is expected to be a large gathering talking about the successes during the two years of his government.

Sitting arrangements have been made for 30,000 special guests at the meeting venue, which has four entrances, the sources added. The meeting venue has been divided into various blocks and security system has been made as per blue book.

Water bottles, bags, match boxes, cigarette and hard metal have been barred from the meeting venue.

Meanwhile, an unprecedented ground-to-air security has been put in place by the security agencies to avoid any untoward incident during the PM’s visit.

While six SPs and 150 inspectors have been pressed into service for security arrangements, 60 platoons of police will man the AIIMS ground where PM Modi will address the public.
