Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal, who was admitted to VSS Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla yesterday following chest pain, was shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar today for better treatment.

Biswal was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Cardiology department in the hospital and his condition is stated to be stable, sources said.

The former chief minister felt pain on his chest while returning from a programme at Thakurpada under Kirimira block on Wednesday night.

He was first rushed to Jharsuguda Sadar Hospital and later shifted to VIMSAR
