AICC's youngest member is an Odia girl!

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Odia girl, Manisha Tripathy from Nabarangpur district has been included as member in the recently reconstituted All-India Congress Committee (AICC). OTV caught up with her in New Delhi to understand how she feels about becoming the youngest member of AICC. Here are the excerpts.

Feeling on becoming the youngest AICC member?

I can't explain my happiness. I am really excited as I represent the fourth generation of my family who has become an AICC member.

After Rahul Gandhi became the president of AICC, the party seems to be giving more importance to youngsters. How do you see your career under his leadership?

Inclusion of a 20-year-old girl in his team shows that the party chief is serious about strengthening the organisation. He wants the youth of the nation to achieve their potential which will not only strengthen the party but also develop the country. My objective will be to bring more youth into the party who will follow the ideology of Congress and work towards the development of the country.

Issues you would like to discuss with Rahul Gandhi when you meet him during the Congress meeting?

I will mostly speak on the issues plaguing the youth now. Experience is a good teacher and I will try to gain experience first.
