Aged couple hacked to death

Baripada: Police is on the lookout of the assailants in connection with the brutal murder of an aged couple whose body was found lying in a pool of blood inside their house in Kathachua Ambadahi village in Mayurbhanj district late on Monday night.

The incident came to light this morning after the villagers found the body of the couple and informed the police which rushed to village for an on-the-spot investigation.

While the exact cause of the murder is not yet known, the family members of the victims said the couple might have been killed on suspicion of practicing sorcery.
