When Ganjam boy Bikram Swain made it to the news for being closely associated with Tiger Shroff, as his stunt trainer, it brought a lot of cheer among Odishans. For, his was a story of determination, perseverance and hard work. Now, he has given Odishans another reason to be happy – he is debuting as an actor in Sabbir Khan’s next movie Munna Michael playing the ‘tapori’ friend of Tiger.

Bikram could not have sounded happier when he spoke to Odishatv.in from Mumbai. ‘’I cannot think of anything better. It is all about destiny and hard work. Playing a co-star with the man who made me what I am today is like a great achievement,’’ says an indebted Bikram who had shifted to Mumbai way back in 2007.

Initially struggling hard to make both ends meet, Bikram would spend hours on the beach doing stunts and gymnastic moves which drew the attention of Tiger. In no time, Bikram became his personal stunt trainer and thus began a new chapter for the 25-year-old who takes one day at a time in his stride.

Initially reluctant to accept the acting offer, he finally had to say a yes owing to the trust that the director Sabbir Khan, maker of Baghi and Heropanti, reposed on him. ‘’I expressed my nervousness to face the camera, but he convinced me and I got the support of Tiger. All of them thought I would do justice to the role. I signed the contract and was surprised to see that I was there almost in all the scenes,’’ said the youngster who is also trained in dance and matches step with the star.

So how does being a struggler from Odisha feel transforming into an actor? ‘’I do not consider myself an actor. I am just doing work that is coming my way. There is a long way to go. God willing, I will succeed in all endeavours and make my state proud,’’ Bikram says with humility.

Munna Michael is scheduled for a July release.
