Berhampur: After pest attack, the farmers of Ankuli and Ganju village under Rangeilunda block of Ganjam district are now worried over wild boar menace which is threatening their crops.

The farmers have alleged that wild boars are causing extensive damage to the standing crops on fields resulting in heavy losses.

As there is a possibility of rainfall in coming days the farmers are bothered how to save the crops that have endured pest menace from the boars.

"The boars have destroyed our crops. We are guarding the crops day and night, till seven in the evening from four in the morning. But we are unable to trace when the boars enter and destroy our crops," said a farmer Raju Behera.

"Most of my crops have been damaged by boars. I have received a minor compensation towards it but how will I cultivate the remaining crops and be able to sustain my family is my concern," said another farmer Narasingh Mandal.
