Though forest officials have reached the spot, the local villagers are now in panic as they have already heard about the wild animal that has unleashed terror in Niali by killing over 100 sheep.

Not only Niali, sheep death incidents have also been reported from Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Kendrapara.

The ‘killer’ has remained elusive despite massive operation launched by the forest department at Niali where a special team from Similipal is also camping.
