Adventure sports: Paramotoring ride now in Twin City

Bhubaneswar: Adventure lovers of the Twin City can now touch the sky with the launch of paramotoring ride on Tuesday. A city based group Fun Rides is offering the adventure sport atop the scenic Barunei hills near IIT Jatni.

Paramotoring ride is a thrilling sport wherein you suddenly start flying while riding a motorcycle, said Baldev Biswal from Fun Rides. The group is beginning the first session of the sport on Tuesday early morning (7 am) after getting a clearance from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The rides will be available from 6 am to 10 am in the morning and from 3.30 pm till sunset wherein a single person can fly.

The ride will be on a Rotex 450-500 cc twin engine model that is attached with a glider and safety parachute, informed Biswal. Each ride will cover around 10 kms.

While Fun Rides is targeting tourists around Bhubaneswar now, the rides will later be available on the Cuttack-Puri highway, the hosts said.
