Addl tehsildar to be dismissed for fake caste certificate

Sambalpur: The additional tehsidar of Maneswar tehsil in the district landed in trouble after Revenue Divisional Commissioner, northern range, recommended his dismissal on charges of doing government service by producing fake caste certificate.

"Revenue department has been asked to dismiss Bikash Bhoi from service after the state level scrutiny committee examined all his documents", RDC Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma said.

The committee did not go in favour of his ST certificate after thorough examination and also asked Bolangir Superintendent of Police (SP) to file criminal case against him as he belong to Dhandamunda area of Bolangir.

All tehsildars have also been asked to investigate whether he or his family members purchased any land from any ST category people.

RDC took action after getting the final from the scrutiny committee.

A complaint was lodged before the scrutiny committee that he had acquired the caste certificate even as he does not belong to SC/ST category.
