Abhimanyu murder: BJP activists block NH demanding arrest of main accused

Cuttack/Binjharpur: Demanding immediate arrest of prime accused in the Abhimanyu Das murder case, members of the party’s OBC cell today blocked national highway at different places.

While some BJP OBC cell members blocked NH-16 in Cuttack at different intersections, similar type of protest was held by party leaders on NH-20 near BJ Moter chhak in Keonjhar halting vehicles on both sides of the road.

Bhagaban Sahu, BJP leader, said, “Across the State, BJP OBC cell members staged road blockade from 9 am to 10 am demanding immediate arrest of prime accused involved in the BJP leader’s murder.”

Few days back, Abhimanyu’s wife and Titilagarh legislator Tukuni Sahu had said she would meet DGP KB Singh to demand further probe to nab the mastermind behind her husband’s murder.

The ADJ court had convicted Alok Das, Santosh Rana, Jagdish Bag and Naresh Singh for killing Abhimanyu and sentenced them life imprisonment.
