Abducted Kendrapara contractor released in Cuttack

Kendrapara: A contractor who was abducted by bike-borne miscreants few hours ago from his office in Kajala village of Kendrapara district has been reportedly released by the abductors on Saturday.

According to sources, the contractor Siba Parida was released unharmed today near Manguli Chhak in Cuttack.

Earlier today, Siba was in his office in Kujala village when three armed youths came on a bike and took him away at gunpoint.

Parida has been executing many works worth Rs 50 crore at several places, said police sources, adding, the exact reason of abduction has not been determined yet.

Kendrapara SP, after getting information, reached the spot and started preliminary investigation.

Four teams were formed to conduct a probe and launch a manhunt to nab the unidentified abductors.
