Bhubaneswar: Out of 84,154 students, who had appeared in the annual Plus II Science examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) this year, 67,999 students have passed the test.

The pass rate in the examination, the results of which were announced by Higher Education minister Pradip Panigrahi at the CHSE office here today, was recorded at 80.80 percent.

According to sources in CHSE, 53 students secured 90 per cent or above in the annual examination.

While, 20,191 students passed the examination with first division, 22,414 passed the with second division and 24,550 with third division, the reports added.

While Nayagarh district registered the highest pass rate at 94.23%, Jharsuguda was the lowest with 53.87%. Moreover, five colleges in the state have produced nil results as not a single student could clear the test.
