Rourkela: Seven members of Peoples’ Liberation Front of India (PLFI) including Zonal Committee Member Arjun Rana and Koida-Barbil area commander  Karan Sai were arrested by Sundargarh police on Sunday.

Senior officials informed that both the PLFI leaders were actively involved in a number of crimes in Keonjhar, Sundargarh and neighbouring Jharkhand.

The accused were arrested after raid at a camp at Kukudabahal forest under Biramitrapur police limits in the intervening nights between September 29 and 30. One carbine, 3 double barrel rifles, one 9MM pistol, 57 rounds of live ammunition and other objectionable items were also recovered from the spot.

DGP RP Sharma informed that the arrested persons will be taken on remand for interrogation.
