Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Non-implementation of the 7th Pay Commission has put the staff of AIIMS in a state of despair following which the Faculty Association of AIIMS (FAIIMS) has written to AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria expressing its concern.

The FAIIMS said the 7th Pay commission recommendations have been sent to the Union Health Ministry on February 10 but till date it has not been implemented.

In its letter to the government, FAIIMS has written that even though the premiere institution has already sent its clarification on the basis of pay scale recommended by 6th CPC, as sought by the Ministry of Health, till date it has no information regarding implementation of the 7th CPC.

Despite the committee approving the proposal for revised 7th CPC on February 10 and sending the report to Health ministry, it is strange that the ministry sought to know the basis on which pay scales were allowed after 6th CPC which was implemented more than ten years ago

FAIIMS in its letter demanded immediate implementation of the 7th CPC and constitution of committee for allowances for the AIIMS faculty to address the issues of allowances appropriately, says a PTI report.

On the other hand, the Central government employees are not satisfied with the changes done by the Narendra Modi-led BJP government in the 7th pay commission and they have decided to take up the matter with the government.
