Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Centre, on Thursday, approved implementation of the recommendations of the 7th pay commission for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) employees.

With the approval of the Human Resource Ministry (HRD) to implement the 7th CPC recommendations, 46,000 employees of KVS are going to get paid as par with the other Central government employees.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar informed about the decision through tweet. He tweeted: Approved the recommendation for implementation of 7th CPC to employees of KVS at par with other Central Govt. Employees.

“Over 46,000 KVS employees to benefit @kvschoolschd," he added.

Earlier this week, Javadekar had announced that the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission for colleges and varsities would be approved soon.

In other news, the Faculty Association of AIIMS (FAIIMS) has written to AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria expressing its concern over the non-implementation of the 7th Pay Commission.
