Balasore: In yet another cracker explosion in the district, at least seven persons have been injured including one minor critically, here on Sunday.

The explosion that took place in Sanadahadi village under Kuradhia panchayat in the district is the second such incident from Balasore in a span of only four days.

The minor critically injured in the explosion is currently undergoing treatment in the district hospital.

Meanwhile, the actual reason behind the explosion is yet to be ascertained.

In a series of such cracker mishaps, earlier on October 18, a cracker unit had caught fire in the district following an explosion leaving 11 dead.

Similarly, a minor girl was killed while four others were injured critically in an explosion while they were making crackers at Bilipada near Pipili in Puri district on October 19.

Moreover, two persons were critically injured during an explosion on October 10 when firecrackers were being prepared at a house in Malda village in Bari block in Jajpur district.
