7 held in Angul contractor kidnapping case

Angul: Seven persons were arrested by Angul police on Sunday in connection with abduction of a contractor.

Six cell phones, a Bolero that was allegedly used for the kidnapping and a motorcycle were reportedly seized by police from them.

However, two more accused are still absconding.

Meanwhile, in a press conference held yesterday, Angul Additional SP informed that raids on various places are being conducted to nab the miscreants.

Earlier, on June 26 a contractor along with his supervisor were kidnapped from Angul bus stand and Rs 20 lakh ransom was demanded for his release.
