Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped the Capital city on Sunday evening when three youths riding a black Pulsar bike attacked six people with a beard knife on Baramunda-Siripur road here.

Eyewitnesses said the three youths riding the black Pulser without registration number attacked the six people in the beard knife injuring them on face, hand and neck. The three miscreants also looted valuables from some passersby.

The injured were rushed to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment.

A poilce team immediately reached the spot to investigate the matter.

Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania said, “One of the three attackers, identified as Amit Mohapatra of Goutam Nagar area in the city, was nabbed near Rupali square. The police have launched a manhunt to catch two others of Laxmisagar area who are on the run.”

He added the nabbed attacker is a student.
