5 of bike theft racket arrested

Jharsuguda: Police busted a bike theft racket and arrested five members of the gang, including the mastermind, here on Saturday.

Around 36 stolen bikes have been seized from them. Police said the mastermind of the racket, Rajiv Patel, was running his crime network from his in-laws' house. He used to prepare fake documents of the stolen vehicles on his laptop before selling them, they added.

Police had launched a hunt to bust the gang following a complaint registered last week.
