Keonjhar: Police and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) officials today conducted raids at Magurgadia, Dhobadiha, Baniapat, and College Road areas of the Keonjhar district and rescued five child laborers.

Out of the five rescued children, two children were engaged as domestic help in the houses of government officials.
A joint squad consisting of officials from the Labour Department, Childline, and police rescued a minor girl employed as domestic help in the residence of Keonjhar district National Informatics Center (NIC) officer Ajay Mohapatra.

Similarly, another minor girl was rescued from the residence of a retired Central Government employee at Baniapat in the district.
