Bhubaneswar: A total of 46,200 students are appearing in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) which is being held in the state on Sunday.

Students seeking admission to MBA, MCA, M Tech, M Pharma, B Pharma, Lateral Entry Engineering, BAMS and BHMS are appearing in the examination.

Talking to the media here on Saturday, OJEE chairman Dr Tushar Kumar Nath said the examination would be held at 81 centres in 20 cities of which 19 centres are in Bhubaneswar.

He informed that the state government has reintroduced the negative marking system from this year as per which one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

The examination will be conducted in three sittings. The first sitting (Physics/Chemistry (for 1st year Pharmacy/Homoeopathy/Ayurveda)/Test for MBA/ Test for Lateral Entry (2nd Year) (Diploma) to Engineering/Technology) began at 9 AM and will continue till 11 AM.

The second sitting (Mathematics for 1st year Pharmacy/Test for B Sc (+3 Sc.) Lateral Entry to Engineering (2nd Year)/Test for Lateral Entry (Pharma)/Test for M PHARM/Integrated MBA/M PLAN will be held from 12 PM to 1 PM.

In the third sitting, there will be two-phase examination from 2.30 PM to 3.30 PM (Biology for 1st year Pharmacy/Homoeopathy/Ayurveda) and from 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM (Test for 1st year MCA/Test for Lateral Entry (2nd Year) to MCA/Test for PGAT (Post Graduate Admission Test) for M.Tech/M.Tech (Part Time)/M.Arch).
