Bhubaneswar: At least 45 people including 15 school students were injured in three separate bus accidents in different parts of Odisha on Saturday.

Twenty-five passengers were hurt following a collision between two buses near Traffic chhak in Nayagarh. All the injured have been shifted to hospital while the condition of five passengers is said to be critical.

In another incident, five passengers sustained multiple injuries after the bus they were travelling overturned near Katulikana in Keonjhar.

Forty passengers were travelling in the bus that was on its way from Raruan to Joda when the mishap occurred. Sources said that the bus plunged into a field as its driver was trying to negotiate a sharp turn and failed to spot the road due to intense fog.

The injured have been admitted to Champua sub-divisional hospital.

Similarly, 15 persons, including students, driver and helper of a school picnic bus were reportedly injured after the bus hit a truck  from rear on CRPF fly-over in Bhubaneswar late last night.

The bus carrying 40 school students from Banpur in Khurda district was on its way to Kapilash in Dhenkanal district when it met with the accident at around 2.30 am today.
