4-year-old girl raped in Bolangir; accused absconding

Bolangir: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Patnagarh in Bolangir district yesterday.

Sources said the accused identified as Fesan Meher managed to take the minor girl to his house by luring her on the pretext of giving her chocolate. He raped her and absconded after that.

The girl was later admitted to Patnagarh hospital in critical condition. On the other hand, her family members lodged a complaint at police station.

Acting on the complaint, police have started investigation into the incident and are on the lookout to nab the accused, sources added.
