Rourkela: In a tragic incident, four workers of a privately-owned steel factory today sustained grievous injuries when a fire broke out at the company’s quarters near Tumakela under Lahunipada police limits in Sundargarh district.

The four workers of Rajamunda-based Bhaskar Steel factory, identified as Binay Kumar, Haider Ali, Hajar Ram and Ranjan Kumar, with 70 to 90 percent burn injuries were admitted to the burn ward of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela this morning.

The fire mishap occurred when the four were sleeping at the company’s quarters during the wee hours today.
