4 held in Khurda murder case

Khurda: A day after a youth was brutally murdered in Khajuripada village of Khurda district during Holi celebrations, police arrested four persons including the prime accused on Saturday.

According to reports, one Santosh Patra of Khajuriapada village was attacked and beaten to death by a group of youths soon after they entered into a verbal duel with the former yesterday.

Police said, a group of 40 people of Badapokharia barged into the house of Santosh and thrashed him mercilessly leading to his death.

Apart from Santosh, another youth and three other women were also injured in the attack.

Later some locals had staged a road blockade near Khajuripada chhak for over two hours demanding immediate arrest the accused yesterday.
