3 youths drown while taking bath in Baitarani

Bhadrak: Three youths drowned while taking bath in Baitarani River near Nerada panchayat under Bhandaripokhari of Bhadrak district today.

As per sources, the three have been identified as Jagannath Boitai (15), Diptiranjan Boitai (17) and Pradeep Bal (20), all residents of Boitai Sahi.

Sources informed that the trio went missing after getting trapped in a pit created by sand mafia after mining.

One of the boys was rescued by locals and admitted to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last. The dead body of the other two were recovered one hour later, added sources.
