3 youths charred to death after accident

Baripada: Three youths were charred to death after their motorcycle caught fire following a suspected road accident on NH 49 near Katas under Bisoi police limits in Mayurbhanj district late on Saturday night.

The deceased have been identified as Charan Lohar of Bangiriposhi, Bably Majhi and Satrughan Majhi of Ghodabandar area.

Though the exact reason behind the deaths is still unclear, it is suspected that the incident occurred after the petrol tank of the motorcycle exploded following the accident.

All the deceased youths were returning to village when their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle at around 9: 30 pm yesterday.

Police have sent the bodies to Rairangpur hospital for autopsy and further investigation into the deaths has begun.
