3 villagers kidnapped by Maoists in Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: Maoists have abducted three villagers of Karlapat under Thuamul Rampur police limits, informed Kalahandi SP Brijesh Ray today adding that the left wing extremists torched a motorcycle as well.

Elaborating about the incident, Ray said Hari Pradhani, Banamali Naik and brother Sudarshan Naik of Karlapat were taken hostage by a group of 15 to 20 ultras suspecting them to be police informers.

Besides, a Special Police Officer's (SPO) bike was torched by the ultras, Ray added.
