Puri: As per the recommendation of technical committee and experts from IIT, Madras, three tonnes of stainless steel plates have reached here for Jagamohan repair.

Eighteen tonnes more steel to be used in the repair work to be brought from Mumbai will reach the pilgrim town in the second week of June.

Three plates, which reached Puri today, are 20 feet long and five feet wide each. These will be used in the mending of four columns of the prayer hall, executive engineer of Srimandi administration said.

"18 tonnes of steel for the work of seven pockets of the Jagamohan wil be brought from Mumbai. The concerned company has been asked to provide the same," he said.

The repair work will kick off after the trinity are out of the 'Anasara gruha'.
