Puri: One student was feared drowned while two others were rescued in a critical condition after they were swept away by the strong sea current near Digabareni in Puri.

The incident occurred at around 5:30 am today.

According to reports, nearly eight students of a Government Aviation Training Institute (GATI), Bhubaneswar had come to Puri  today.

The mishap occurred when all of them were taking bath in the sea. Three youths including Rahul Sharma and Rahul Arora were reportedly dragged into the deep sea by a huge tide. Though Sharma was rescued Arora is still missing.

Both the students hail from Rajasthan. Sharma has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital after preliminary treatment at Puri hospital while Arora is still untraceable.
