Bhubaneswar: Continuing with its mission to promote industrialization, Odisha government on Thursday approved three projects worth Rs 864 crores.

The projects were cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today.

The approved projects include a multi layer double coated paper board manufacturing unit of West Coast Paper Mill Ltd. The 1,32,000-tonne  per annum  (TPA) capacity unit along with a 12 MW captive power plant will come up at Sonepur at an investment of Rs 750 crore and will provide employment to nearly 700 people.

Similarly, a maize processing plant by Vijaynagar Biotech Private Limited at Papadahandi in Nabarangpur district has received SLSWCA nod. The 50,000-tonne maize processing plant with an investment of Rs 59 crore promises to create employment opportunity for 400 people, informed sources.

Moreover, Kader Investment and Trading Co Pvt Ltd’s Sea Food Park at Deras on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar has also been cleared by the SLSWCA. The company is one of the largest seafood exporters and the proposed Sea Food Park will be set up at an estimated cost of Rs 55 crore and will generate employment for 1,035 people.
