3 new born babies die at Nabarangpur hospital

Nabarangpur: In a shocking incident, three new born babies died while undergoing treatment at Nabarangpur Sadar hospital here.

According to sources, son of Tulamu Mallick, a resident of Goudadeopalli village under Tentulikhunti block, was admitted to the government-run hospital on April 3. But, the baby died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.

Similarly, daughter of Tamali Majhi of Icchapur village and son of Champada Harijan of Anala village died just a day after they were admitted to the hospital, the sources added.

Refuting allegations that the new born babies died because of medical negligence, a hospital official said the infants were admitted to the hospital in very serious condition.
