3 killed as OSRTC bus overturns in Vizianagaram

Nabarangpur: In a tragic mishap, three passengers including a kid were killed and many injured when an Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus plying from Nabarangpur to Vishakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh overturned near Ramabhadrapuram of Vizianagaram district late last night.

The OSRTC bus bearing registration no - OR-10J 0173 met with the accident near Saluru of Vizianagaram at around 2.30 am while going towards Vishakhapatnam. While Sahina Sultan, Sakila Sultan and Ayana Sultan of Dabugaon in Nabarangpur district travelling in the ill-fated bus died on the spot, other co-passengers sustained minor injuries.

Police sources said the deceased were members of one family.

Rescue work was undertaken in presence of senior police officials of Ramabhadrapuram.
