3 dead, 4 injured in road mishap in Angul

Angul: Three persons were killed and four sustained critical injuries when a bus collided head-on with a Bolero vehicle on NH-55 near Champapur in Kishore Nagar late last night.

While two died on the spot, one person succumbed to injuries on his way to hospital.

Among the three dead, two were identified as Gopal Debangan and Ashok Debangan of Chhattisgarh. Identity of third victim could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

The mishap occurred at around 2 am when the Jharsuguda-bound bus hit the Bolero vehicle, which was going towards Puri, carrying seven passengers.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and later shifted to the Burla hospital.

Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post mortem.
