Bhubaneswar: Total 3,80,707 students will appear for theory papers of the annual Plus II exams conducted by the Council of Higher Education (CHSE) starting on Monday.

In Arts stream, 2,43,106 students will sit for the Plus II examinations while 90,990 will appear for the CHSE exam in Science stream. Total 28,448 students are going to write answers in Commerce stream during the exam.

For safe keeping of question papers, 202 exam management hubs have been set up across the State whereas the Plus II exam will be held at 1,106 examination centres.

For the first time, observers appointed for the annual Plus II exam will stay put at the centres from the beginning of the session till the end.

To check question paper leak, CCTV cameras have been installed at the exam management hubs apart from tight security deployment. The question papers will be sent to the exam centres on the day of examination itself accompanied by police personnel.

Elaborating about the preparations for the Plus II exam, School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra stated, “To curb malpractice in the exam, more than 50 squads have been formed for checking. Besides, central squads and CHSE regional directors at different zones will visit the exam centres. Preparatory meetings have been held in presence of district administration officials, resource person and centre superintendents. We expect the exam will be conducted peacefully across the State.”
