20 hotels to be sealed in Puri tomorrow

Puri: After Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) served closure notices on 20 hotels operating in Puri, the district administration is all set to seal these hotels on Saturday.

According to sources, the district administration has slapped seal notices to these hotels and asked tourists to vacate the hotels by Friday evening.

The hotels which will be sealed are: Pink House, Genesis Hotel, Radhika Resort, Hotel Dial Ring, Surya Beach Inn on Chakratirtha road, Hotel Tara, Omm, Marina Beach Resort, Hotel Grand, New Hotel Apollo, Mallika Bhawan on Sea Beach road, Hotel Nitai Kunj, New Malancha, Kajurina House, Taxibadi Lodging, Madan Jilla in Gouda Bada sahi and Hari Parbati, Chandrama and Hotel Surya Garden on Gopala Ballabhava road.

Notably, acting on the directive of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), OSPCB had served closure notices on these hotels for running their business without obtaining consent to operate from the Board.
