2 youngsters jump before moving train, rescued in critical condition

Rairangpur: A young couple sustained grievous injuries after jumping before a moving train in a suspected suicide pact here at Ghughupahadi in Mayurbhanj district today.

Sustaining critical injury, both were rescued with their legs and hands severed. They also sustained critical head injuries. They were rushed to Rairangpur hospital by the eyewitnesses through 108 ambulance.

Love affair is suspected to be the reason behind such drastic step.

Sources said Ganesh Debagama (25) of Gundra village was in love with a minor girl of the same village village for last one year. However, since families of the couple did not agree to solemnise its marriage, they are suspected to have planned to end lives .

Rairangpur police registered a case and started investigation.
