Bhubaneswar: Two Union Ministers will visit the State to attend the 'Yaad Karo Kurbani' programme, being organized by the BJP beginning from the Kranti Divas on August 9 to mark the 70th Independence Day.

Union minister for Consumer Affairs Chhotu Ram Chaudhary will visit the birthplace of Baji Rout at Nilakanthapur village of Bhuban block in Dhenkanal district tomorrow to pay tributes to the freedom fighter.

Similarly, Union Telecommunications Minister Manoj Sinha will visit the native place of Chandan Hajuri, popularly known as Chakhi Khuntia, at Puri on August 20.

The 'Yaad Karo Kurbani' programme, organized by the saffron party to offer tributes to freedom fighters, would culminate on August 23. As part of the campaign, Union Ministers are visiting birthplaces of freedom fighters of various States.

Briefing media persons here today, BJP Spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, "The party is organising the programme to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs during the freedom struggle of India. The Union Ministers would visit the birthplaces of freedom fighters to offer tributes."
