2 school boys drown in pond in Belpahar

Jharsuguda: Tension gripped Belpahar area after two minors died in a tragic drowning incident here on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Chinmay Yadav and Khestrabasi Suna.

Both were students of Gumadera Project School under Belpahar Municipality limits. According to reports, Yadav was a class four student while Suna was studying in seventh standard.

The incident occurred when the duo had gone to pond near their school for a bath, sources said.

Following the incident, three teachers of the school were dismissed by Block Education Officer (BEO).
