2 persons killed, 2 injured in cracker explosion

Balasore: Two persons were killed and two others got injured when crackers exploded in a house at Chada village in Balasore district today, police said.

The deceased were identified as Narendra Ghadei (80) and a 4-year-old girl. While the girl died on the spot, Ghadei succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

Two women who got injured in the explosion were immediately admitted at the local hospital. The incident took place when Ghadei and his family members were making crackers at their house, police said.

Fire brigade with the help of local people rushed to the accident site as soon as the incident occurred.

Police said they are investigating the matter.
