Bhubaneswar: Over five armed miscreants, reportedly claiming to be gang members of Dhalasamant brothers, on Monday allegedly attacked the manager and staff of a pipe factory at Rasulgarh Industrial Estate in Bhubaneswar.

The incident occurred last night when a few miscreants ransacked the pipe factory and then attacked the staff and manager of the factory, injuring two of them. This apart, they allegedly looted cash and gold ornaments from the place.

Factory manager Nikunj Chhotray alleged," I have no clue about this attack, neither do i know them. Its been 43 years since I am doing business but I don't have any enemy. They threatened me that they would chop my fingers and took all my rings. They claimed to be gang members of Dhalasamant brothers."

On receiving information about the attack, police reached the spot and began investigation into the incident.

Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said," Our police officers rushed to the spot to look after the matter. As per reports, some miscreants ransacked the factory and then attacked the manager. An inquiry is on to find out who the miscreants were. The reason of attack has not been ascertained yet. Further investigation is on."
