2 killed, 3 hurt as truck hits gas tanker in Khurdha

Khurdha: At least two persons died and four others were injured when a speeding truck loaded with tomatoes dashed a stationery gas tanker on the roadside from behind on the NH-16 at Brahmanakoshadiha village near Balugaon in Khurdha district today.

After hitting tanker, the truck overturned and fell on a cabin there crushing two persons having tea at the shop to death. After being hit by the truck, the gas tanker too hit a tea stall there leaving three persons, who were standing near the stall, seriously injured.

They were rescued and admitted to the Balugaon hospital. The local Tehsildar and police carried out the rescue operation.
