2 killed, 10 injured as van meets accident in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In a tragic incident, two women were killed and 10 others sustained critical injuries after a van in which they were travelling lost control and fell off Jurajam ghati under Kinjirikela police limits on Saturday morning.

The deceased have been identified as resident of Jurajam village.

According to sources, the incident took place while they were returning to their village after attending a marriage party at Balisankara village.

The ill-fated van lost control and fall off Jurajam ghati causing the death of two women on the spot and leaving 10 others including two kids injured, sources added.

Being informed about the incident, Kinjirikela police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons.

The injured persons have been admitted to Sundargarh district head quarter hospital.  One of the injured shifted to Burla hospital after his health condition deteriorated, sources in police said.
